In revamping the cute but very busy and dated Wild About Smiles brand, my objective was to keep the original sense of playfulness and approachability into a brand dedicated to caring for young children and those with special needs, designing a look that would resonate with kids and parents alike. Central to this transformation was the creation of a new logo that embraced a cleaner, more legible design, adaptable for various materials and marketing placements.
By reimagining the brand's beloved elephant mascot in a sleek and modern style, I preserved a key brand element as well as seamlessly recreated the elephant as a tooth — with the elephant's trunk fashioned into a toothbrush — fashioning a new look that says "dental" unambiguously. This branding project blends whimsy and professionalism, with the brand's mission targeting, as well as appealing, to a more modern parental audience.
